Job Description

We are partnering with a growing real estate investment and asset management platform that needs a hands-on Controller to lead accounting and financial infrastructure across a complex, multi-entity portfolio.

This is not a traditional corporate Controller role . The Controller will work directly with the CEO and own the accounting function across multiple entities , with significant exposure to real estate investments, asset management, and executive leadership.

The ideal candidate is someone who understands the complexity of a real estate investment platform and is comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial environment where they can both execute the accounting and continue building processes and infrastructure as the organization grows. Must have Yardi

Key Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close across multiple entities
• Oversee accounting and financial reporting across legal entities
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, and cash forecasting
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reporting
• Maintain strong balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
• Oversee intercompany activity and multi-entity accounting
• Coordinate the tax cycle and work closely with external tax advisors
• Maintain entity-level accounting, compliance and reporting requirements
• Support accounting related to real estate acquisitions, investments, and transactions
• Develop and strengthen accounting processes, procedures and internal controls
• Identify opportunities to automate and improve financial reporting
• Partner directly with the CEO and senior leadership
