A day in this roleYou arrive on a commercial site, review the plan with the foreman, and prep for the lift. As the crane swings into position, you handle rigging and shake-outs, signal the operator, and help guide steel members into place. You connect and bolt beams, purlins, and girders. By afternoon, you’re installing siding and roofing and adding insulation to complete the building envelope—always with safety front and center and assisting with other tasks the foreman assigns.
